GROUP PIANO CLASSES
NCSM provides group piano classes only for children ages 3 through 5 years old. This program introduces our young students to music notation, rhythm and the keyboard. Children will also learn and use other instruments in the percussion family. This program is designed to prepare students with strong musical foundations before moving on to the more intensive individual (one-on-one) classes. They will start out on keyboards but will also learn to use a full size acoustic piano.
Group classes for piano are provided as a 12-week program with a recital at the end of the session. Classes meet for 45 minutes once a week, and each class contains no more than 8 students.
Please note that No Refunds or Make-Ups will be given if a student misses a class.

GROUP THEORY CLASSES
Theory classes teach the students the specifics and concepts behind musical structures in written format. They help heighten and speed up the students’ learning process through understanding the way music is constructed, making them essential additions to instrumental instruction. Group Theory & Composition is a 12-week program, and students will need to take 2 courses (Fall & Spring Quarter) to cover all materials. The class will meet for one hour once a week.
